When does Encore begin?
The first Encore session for K-middle school will be Monday afternoon, September 14. Preliminary class schedules will be distributed shortly.

When is the Encore Parent Orientation meeting?
This meeting will take place on September 10 at 6:45 PM at I.T. Creswell Middle Arts Magnet - MNPS's brand new arts magnet! Dr. Register will be our special guest. All are welcome.

What is happening August 27 at 6:45 PM?
On August 27, we will have an Encore Parent Learning Series (E-PLS) meeting at Robertson Academy. The topic is "What Exceptional Education Means to Encore." Special guests will be representatives from our Exceptional Education team.
What is Encore doing for fun to celebrate the beginning of school?
Middle Grades Encore students will take in a Sounds game on September 1 - details to follow.
What are they doing in Encore this year?
Encore's over-arching theme for the year is "Discoveries" which leads to essential questions like: Why do people discover? How do other living things discover? What drives discovery? Who are discoverers? How have discoveries impacted our lives?, etc. Units of study range in topic from inventions and inventing to archaeology and marine biology. Encore's Invention Convention competition is scheduled for the week end before Thanksgiving. MNPS friends and guests will have an opportunity to view student inventions at an Open House at Robertson Academy. An awards ceremony will follow the Open House. More specific days and times will be announced at a later date.
