Grade Level Rules

Team Rules

1. Arrive to class on time with all needed materials, ready to learn
2. Follow all directions promptly and courteously
3. Respect yourself, other students, faculty, and equipment of DHMS
4. Stay in your seat and talk only with the permission of the teacher
5. No eating, drinking, or gum chewing allowed in class
6. Once you are in the room, you must remain
7. No backpacks will be allowed in the classroom

Team Discipline

If a student chooses to break any of the rules set forth by the 8^th grade team teachers, the following are the consequences:

1. Warning
2. Conference
3. Lunch Detention
4. Time-out in different setting/ Phone Call Home
5. Team Conference
6. Referral to the office

The teacher has the right to by-pass any consequences based on the severity of the situation.

Team Rewards

1. Positive note to student
2. Positive note/phone call to parent
3. Reward certificate/Incentives
4. Invitation to team award assembly

Tardy, Dress Code & I.D. Policy

1^st offense-Warning given by teachers
2^nd offense-2^nd Warning and Lunch detention
3^rd offense-Call parent and Lunch detention
4^th offense-Office referral

Locker Schedule

1. Before 1^st Period (Books for 1^st and 2^nd Periods)
2. After 2^nd Period (Books for 3^rd and 4^th Periods)
3. After 3^rd Period (To put up P.E. clothes)
4. After 4^th Period (Books for 5^th and 6^th Periods)
5. After School

If the locker schedule is not followed the following consequences will be given:

1. Warning
2. Warning/ Phone Call Home
3. Lose locker for a day
