Clark:

sonja.clark@mnps.org Hi! Let me introduce myself. I attended Memphis State University for my undergraduate degree received in 1990 and began teaching in 1992 in Cheatham County. I taught 4th grade at East Cheatham Elem. for 3 years and decided to move to middle school at Sycamore Middle. There, I taught 6th grade for 5 years and moved houses so I moved counties in teaching to Sumner County.
I taught 6th grade at Shafer Middle and then moved to 1st grade the next year at Howard Elem. and then off to DuPont Hadley which has been my home for the last 4 years in 5th grade. During my stay at Sycamore Middle I went back to school at Trevecca Nazarene to receive my Masters degree in Administration and just haven't felt the calling to move there yet.
On a more personal note, I have a husband of 11 years and 3 young children: Caleb 9 years old in 3rd grade, Hannah 7 years old in 1st grade, and Isaac 5 in pre-school. I am very busy with them and I work a lot in my church. I love to learn and visit about places and bring back anything I can to enrich my students lives.
Yost:
connie.yost@mnps.org Hi! Let me introduce myself. I grew up in central Ohio where I lived until I met and married my college sweetheart. We then moved to West Virginia where we raised 3 boys. I was very active in my children's education and after school activities.
I began my teaching degree at Harding University in Arkansas and put it on hold to raise my children until I picked it up again at Ohio Valley College. I received my Associative Arts degree there and then went to West Liberty State College in West Virginia which is where I received my Bachelor's Degree and graduated Cum Laude.
My first job was in the Hancock County system in 6th grade and 3rd grade. I decided to return to school for my Masters Degree in Communication in Education at West Virginia University. We came to Tennessee because my children attended College here and decided to stay. I have since taught at DuPont Hadley from 2001 to the present in 5th grade and I LOVE it here.
